**ABOUT THE BRANCH**

The Online Services Branch delivers a range of key whole of Australian Government online services such as:

- Content management and website hosting: GovCMS - govcms.gov.au
- Online directory services for the Australian Government: directory.gov.au

The Branch’s purpose is to manage efficient, cost-effective services to, and for, the government. Specifically, these services assist with:

- facilitation and generation of cross-agency services and sharing
- better alignment of ICT capabilities to changing user needs
- delivering value for money in ICT investment through the leveraging of existing infrastructure and services.

GovCMS is an open source web content management system hosted on the public cloud and managed by Finance. Agencies using GovCMS are able to create and manage websites cost effectively, in compliance with Australian government standards. GovCMS combines a Drupal content management system with a website hosting system. There are two product offerings available to agencies using GovCMS: a fully managed software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering, and a self-managed Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering that just provides web hosting.

GovCMS is community-based, designed by government for government. We deliver services to government of all jurisdictions, with a growing customer base of over 100 agencies. We support and host in excess of 340 government websites representing most portfolios, and state and territory governments.

The services we provide are in line with policies to eliminate duplication and encourage shared or cloud services. The Branch also manages the initiation and development of new, cost effective, innovative and practical ICT services.

**ABOUT THE**
**OPPORTUNITY**

**Key Duties - APS 4**
- Working closely with other members of the GovCMS team to collect feedback from government agencies, service providers, and the wider Drupal developer community, identifying opportunities for product, process and service improvement.
- Contributing to the maintenance of documentation, guidance materials, checklists and processes to ensure they are fit-for-purpose guiding an agency through the engagement processes and business-as-usual maintenance activities.
- Promoting self-service and process efficiency. This will require collaboration across the Online Services Branch.
- Assisting with delivery of activities focussed on continuous improvement of key artefacts and customer-facing processes and other tasks as required.
- Provide support to the Technical Product Owner and other team members on issues related to the work of the Branch.

**Key Duties - APS 5**
