**About the role**
Queensland Rail has a full-time position for an experienced Electrical Fitter and Mechanic to repair and maintain the Electronic Systems of our SEQ fleet based at our Bowen Hills Depot.

This position is responsible for carrying out safety critical maintenance on the electronic systems of Citytrain rollingstock to meet peak availability and provide safe and reliable trains. This role will focus on the overhaul of Electronic Components and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) repairs. You may also be required to occasionally assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the braking, traction, and door control systems and of the CCTV security and communication systems down to component level circuit board repair and overhaul.

**Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include**
- Repair, detect faults and regular maintenance of city Network Rollingstock and associated equipment
- Complete electronic, computer and Programmed Logic Controller repairs in accordance with relevant industry and Queensland Rail standards
- Utilise computerised Maintenance Management Systems to input and retrieve data in an effective and efficient manner to maintain the systems integrity
- Maintain safe work practices

**Hours and salary**
Hours are 4 days per week (working 38-hour week, 9.5-hour days) with 1 weekend in 3, day and afternoon shift.

Shifts will vary from a morning shift (6:30 am - 4:00 pm) and afternoon shift (2:00 pm - 11:30 pm). In addition, the position will be required to work overtime as required from time to time to meet business needs.

Working the current roster, a Rollingstock Electrical Maintainer can expect to earn $85,000 - $100,000 + super, including shift penalties and allowances.

**About you**
- Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Licence
- Proven experience in repairing and maintenance of electronic components
- Knowledge of fault finding, systems and defects on electrical components
