**Position Information**:
Nareena Hills Public School is located in Figtree and has a student enrolment of 240. The school motto of 'Caring, Living and Learning' and school values of respect, responsibility and resilience are intertwined in the culture and ethos of the school community.

The staff at Nareena Hills Public School are dedicated professionals who are committed to improving their own professional practice by collaborating with others to plan, implement and evaluate teaching and learning practice with a focus on student and whole school improvement. Continual monitoring of student performance and wellbeing data determines areas of need and success at a class and school level.

2. Successful experience in leading, inspiring and supporting staff to further enhance the positive school culture of high expectations.

3. Demonstrated success in leading highly effective and research-based initiatives to support student and staff wellbeing within a cultural inclusive environment.

4. Evidence of successful leadership implementing effective, innovative programs using informed decision making to develop agile learners who think critically and creatively, while maintaining a focus on literacy and numeracy.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
