Our Intensive Family Support program offers voluntary in home family support to families who are at risk of entering or re - entering the Child Protection System. Through case management and effective relationship building, we aim to strengthen families so children can live at home safely, free from abuse and neglect.

**About the Role**:
Our Fostering Young Lives program provides foster care placements across Sydney for children and young people from birth to 18 years of age. We put the child at the centre of our service and offer ongoing and coordinated support services to best meet the needs of children and their carers. Our professional, qualified staff provide evidence based training for carers so they feel supported in the work they are doing.

Our Fostering Young Lives program has an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join our varied and highly engaged team covering the based out of our Hurstville office.

As Team Leader of our Fostering Young Lives (FYL) program you will be focused on ensuring your team are positioned to provide exceptional services to children and families so they can feel safe and secure. Reporting to the Deputy Manager of Operations, and managing a team of 6-7 direct reports, you will have proven experience within Child Protection and/or Out of Home Care and will be familiar with the Permanency Support space in Out of Home Care.

**Duties**
- As part of a supportive and creative leadership team you will champion service improvements and practice excellence to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families
- Maximise outcomes for staff, carers, young people and their families through collaboration, by capitalising on the practice experience and strengths across TBS
- As a leader you will play an important role in fostering and supporting a positive, collaborative and outcome focused team culture
- You will model and guide your team around the setting of professional boundaries with clients
- You will use your expertise to provide advice and assistance to team members in assessments of risk, safety planning and trauma informed decision-making for carers, young people and their families
- You will provide clear focused leadership and professional supervision.
- You will support, guide and lead the team to complete day to day case management tasks
- Supporting the team to provide carer supervision and support to carers who provide care to young people

**Skills and Experience**

You will have a degree qualification in Allied Health, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline and:
