**Job Description**:
Based in Murarrie, QLD and reporting into the Senior Manager, HSE - Resources and Industrials, this role will lead our Fuels and Gases sector nationally. Providing HSE oversight and translating strategic direction across the Fuels and Gases business unit and coordinating your team of five Regional Managers, HSE who service operations across WA, VIC, NSW and QLD.
This is an exciting time to join our Fuels and Gases business and bring your prior Dangerous Goods, (ideally Bulk Fuels or Gases) HSE experience to the table with a global player in the market. This recently created role presents you with the opportunity to shape and improve the HSE Management systems and strategy in collaboration with the business. You will support your team, understanding that your success is driven by theirs. In turn we offer a robust support network in the broader HSE team, strong operational discipline across your sector and a mature safety culture. **Responsibilities include**:
- Provide direct onsite HSEQ advice and support to operational sites as required, partnering with the General Manager of your group.
- Actively support the consultation and implementation of Toll’s Global HSE Management System.
- Lead the development and implementation of sector-level HSEQ management systems ensuring alignment to broader Company requirements.
- Lead a high performing team through active coaching and mentoring of direct reports and other HSE support personnel.
- Monitor compliance with Company and statutory HSE requirements, including participation in regular HSEQ audits and inspections with operational stakeholders.
- Develop and review HSEQ Improvement Plans in partnership with business leaders ensuring alignment with broader Company HSEQ plans, objectives and targets.
- Promote and support excellent customer relations, including participation in customer HSEQ review forums as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and / or other relevant discipline.
- Tertiary HSE qualifications (highly desirable)
- Dangerous Goods qualifications/ training (desirable)
**About you**
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Have multiple years' experience in a hands-on and strategic safety leadership role with leadership of an operational HSE team.
- Exposure to a sector that has a strong Fuels or Gases interface.
- Transport knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
- Possess the ability to travel as required interstate, though will manage your own travel requirements in conjunction with the business needs.
