**About the Role**:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people during critical incidents and crisis events? Do you possess exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of school communities? If so, we invite you to join our team as the Team Leader for our Social Work Incident Support Service (SWISS) team.

As the Team Leader, you will lead and manage a dynamic team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Your role will involve developing and implementing state-wide social work services, providing operational advice, and supervising a team dedicated to crisis response and intervention.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate state-wide critical incident support services, monitoring trends and community needs to determine service priorities and programs.
- Manage team performance through effective workload management, recruitment, retention, and professional development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to guide service provision, contribute to policy development, and improve trauma management approaches.
- Lead high-level reviews and projects to enhance client feedback mechanisms and inform systemic improvements in service delivery.
- Analyse and report on local and state-wide data, providing timely briefings and advice to inform strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to discipline-specific research, service development, and innovative practices to advance techniques and improve outcomes for children and young people.

**Qualifications**:

- Essential an appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
AHP4: $112,625 - $122,610 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
