The Vicmap Spatial Data Analyst is a member of the Data Science team within Vicmap Labs & Portfolio within the Vicmap Spatial Services branch. The Data Science team is a spatial intelligence service provided by Vicmap Spatial Services that serves government customers providing spatial data analytics and machine learning solutions. This role will work on specific project for customers within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action's Forest, Fire and Regions (FFR) Group and will create and deliver a series of specific new state-wide raster datasets for use in travel time modelling for bushfire response.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Advanced level GIS and experience working with spatial data.

Desirable
- Completion of relevant tertiary and/or industry qualifications
- Experience deriving insights from high quality spatial data analysis and producing targeted reporting.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 5 months. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
