**The Opportunity**:

- The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a position in the Corporate Publications section of our Assurance and Governance Team. We are seeking an experienced professional with proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
- The Assurance and Governance Team are an integral part of the Corporate Operations Branch, overseeing the annual corporate publications process, administering DPS’ internal and external audit functions, providing secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee, and managing the risk and fraud functions for DPS.

**Who we are looking for**:
- In addition to meeting the Integrated Leadership System (ILS) EL1 profile, your primary accountabilities will include:

- Strong written skills with experience in report writing and preparing corporate documents
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage work independently
- Exceptional communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to confidently engage and present to Senior Executives
- High motivation with the ability to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes
- Experience managing and leading a small, high performing team.

**Job Specific Requirements**:

- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.

- Under limited direction, undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for a Parliamentary Executive Level 1. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- 1. Manage the DPS Corporate Publication function (including Corporate Plan, Annual Report and Business Planning)
- 2. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- 3. Develop business partnerships across the department to provide expert advice, guidance and training.
- 4. Manage a small team, including the Senior Publications Officer.
- 5. Manage a range of procurement functions and undertake relationship management with contracted service providers.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._
