**About the Department for Correctional Services**

The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and sixteen Community Correctional offices across the state. **Duties**
The incumbent is responsible to the Clinical Supervisor, Offender Rehabilitation Programs, for the provision of a high quality intervention service to adult offenders placed on probation, supervised bail, parole, pre-parole, home detention, sentenced imprisonment or Community Service Orders and the provision of a high quality service to the Courts, Parole Board, Case Managers and to the community in general, in order to assist offenders to adopt a non-offending lifestyle. The incumbent may also provide consultation and advice on more complex core-program issues and assist the Clinical Supervisor, in staff training, staff development, and the professional supervision of less experienced staff. The incumbent may be a project leader in the development, promotion and delivery of professional DCS core programs as facilitated to offenders.

**Special Conditions**
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.

**Requirements**:
**AHP2**: A degree level qualification in Social Work leading to eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
**PO2**: Appropriate degree level tertiary qualifications in community services, sociology, criminology, justice, correctional practice, social sciences, human services, health or related field.

**Remuneration**
**AHP2**: $85,665 - $99,241 pa
**PO2**: $85,665 - $94,801 pa

These are contract positions based in the Adelaide CBD and intrastate travel is required.

Successful applicant will be appointed at either classification depending on the qualification and experience held.
