**Network Control Officer TC2**:

Id: 4766- Date: 30-Mar-2023- Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4000- Company: Queensland RailThe Business Operations South Team currently has an exciting opportunity for a Network Control Officer TC2 to join their team based in Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis. In this role you will be responsible for controlling, co-ordinating and recording the movement of all trains and on track vehicles in accordance with Queensland Rails Safety Management System, business instructions and access and possession planning protocols to meet above rail operator’s business requirements.

Our Network Control Officers manage the train movements between the areas of Gladstone to Gympie, Rosewood to Charleville and Toowoomba to Goondiwindi. Your high level understanding of rail operations and safe work coupled with your outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, ability to work under pressure and the ability to work autonomously when required will be paramount to your success in this role.

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a TLI40120 Certificate IV in Rail Network - or equivalent.

**About the role**:

- Ensure the high level delivery of service performance on the defined area of the Queensland Rail network by controlling and monitoring the movement of trains and on-track vehicles in accordance with specified train plans and legislative, contractual and policy requirements
- Ensure that Network Control activities comply with all safety requirements specified in legislation, Queensland Rails Safety Management System, policies, standards and procedures
- Ensure that infrastructure providers are provided with the correct track access in accordance with possession protocols, the daily train plan and contingency plans where relevant
- Manage incidents / accidents that may occur from time to time including liaison with emergency services organisations and record them in the appropriate systems
- Recognise, diagnose and take appropriate action to address system faults to minimise traffic delays and achieve agreed performance objectives while ensuring employee and public safety are maintained
- Record all train running and on-track vehicle movements in the appropriate systems and keep relevant officers of Network Access (NA) above rail operators and other parties informed of disruptions, faults or alterations to planned movements
- Operate control systems, input and extract data from operational management systems and compile record and reports of train running and all matters affecting service performance
- Liaise with other controllers, train planners, infrastructure co-ordinators and signal cabins to ensure trains and on-track vehicles are afforded the correct track priority

**About you**:

- High level of skill in the area of track operations, the movement of trains and on-track maintenance machines
- Substantial planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Substantial interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Substantial knowledge of the defined area of Queensland Rails infrastructure network, the train operations environment and the practices, policies, standards and procedures used in operations planning and control
- Substantial knowledge of the safety regulations governing operation on the Queensland Rail network and associated policies and procedures
- Substantial level of skill in providing a quality customer service
- TLI40120 Certificate IV in Rail Network - or equivalent required
