Located in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW, 1.5 hours south-west of Sydney

**About the Role**
Provide reliable asset data, information, systems and operational support for the planning and development of Council’s water and sewer assets. Provide Information and reports to support the achievement of business outcomes in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

**Key Responsibilities**
Ensure that inventory, condition and performance data of all water and sewer assets are accurately captured and regularly updated in the corporate asset management system and support systems/databases as per approved implementation plans and procedures.
Ensure that the water and sewer asset layers are accurately captured and regularly updated in GIS as per approved implementation plans and procedures.
Undertake site inspections or coordinate inspections through operations as required, assess Council assets, record accurate information and produce reports.
Ensure that annual water and sewer valuation reporting is accurate, meets deadlines and complies with financial auditing standards.
Assist with the completion of the annual water and sewer performance reporting to Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE).
Manage data collection contracts where necessary.

**Selection Criteria**
Demonstrated experience in data capture and data management.
Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining asset management systems, and geographic information systems.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining large datasets including use of SQL queries, access databases and scripting (e.g. Python, VBScript).
Understanding of asset management principals including asset valuations.
Demonstrated effective and clear verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
Demonstrated experience in effective customer service.
Demonstrated experience in contract management
Current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C)
