**About Division and Branch**

The Transport Shared Services (TSS) Division provides services to more than 30000 internal customers, and services a further 300,000 external customers including Local Government representatives and citizens. Over the last year, TSS has implemented a strategy to lead the direction of the organisation towards workforce digitisation, emphasising customer experience and growing the business’s value proposition and services.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an opportunity for a **Financial Improvement Manager** to join us in Corporate Services Division of Transport for NSW. This is a Permanent full-time opportunity. Though the base location for the role is Burwood, we offer flexible working arrangements.

The role develops, implements and oversees the ongoing improvement of financial management and overall efficiency in delivering the Clusters services and projects. This includes a focus on developing and delivering a holistic approach to delivering value for money and efficiency

**What you will be involved in**
- Interpret financial reviews and gap analyses into Strategic Initiatives and Business Improvement Projects with clear improvement plans against which progress is monitored.
- Develop and act as a custodian for financial improvement frameworks and implementation plans for identifying, managing and documenting value for money and driving efficiencies in service delivery and projects.
- Lead programs to deliver value for money and efficiency benefits across the division, working closely with functional managers and project managers to foster savings initiatives and effective processes for business improvement.
- Undertake, or provide oversight of, financial management processes to support the delivery of cost effective, commercial services.
- Liaising with Corporate Finance team, produce monthly reports on effectiveness of financial performance improvement and achievement against targets. This includes documented budget build processes to ensure seamless approach to engage functional managers, project managers and directors through all steps of the process.
- Determine the cause and effect of problems associated with inefficiencies relating to financial management, processes and reporting across TSS, and provide measured frameworks to improve, grow and develop the organisation with value for money initiatives.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in financial management including implementing successful financial improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in Financial Analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9 ($142,178 to $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
