**About the opportunity**
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to provide expertise in procurement planning, sourcing, and management, ensuring compliance with NSW Health Procurement Policy. The role includes acting as the Oracle Gatekeeper, managing data analytics, and supporting statewide procurement initiatives through reporting and compliance education. Join a small and collaborative team at NSW Health Pathology, offering hybrid 32 hours per week

**What you'll be doing**
- The Procurement Officer will provide procurement expertise and assist stakeholders to plan, source (obtain quotes) and manage procurement arrangements in line with NSW Health Procurement Policy to effectively meet organisational and business objectives
- The Procurement Officer will provide support for complex procurement projects (procurement Briefs, Exemptions, and Scopes) in accordance with the NSW Health Procurement Policy and NSWHP procurement activities.
- Act as the Oracle Gatekeeper for NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) in reviewing Oracle requisitions to ensure accuracy and alignment with NSW Health Procurement Policy and financial and standardisation processes.
- Compile, maintain and manage data analytics and reporting to inform statewide Procurement initiatives and opportunities. Provide reports, analyses and advice to support procurement decision-making.
- Drive procurement compliance through promotion and education of the NSW Health Procurement Policy, use of existing contracts and identifying opportunities to reduce spend out of contract
- Experience in NSW Health procurement and contracts, including relevant qualifications or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in a procurement environment with an understanding of Oracle (or similar) financial system.
- Proven engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers, staff and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to create effective procurement spend, compliance and savings reports, as well as written reports.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and problem solving.
- Efficient, effective planning and use of own time in the setting of priorities to achieve set objectives with the resources available and within set time frames. Demonstrated ability to initiate, prioritise, and complete required tasks to meet strict deadlines
