**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:The Respiratory Protection Fit Test Technician works within a small team servicing Mercy Health Victoria at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg.
- Located at the Mercy Hospital for Women in the Respiratory Protection Program which sits within the Quality, Safety and Innovation, Work Health and Safety Team
- Part Time (0.2 FTE) Fixed Term position - days and hours to be agreed
- Provide education and fit testing of N95/P2 masks to health care personnel
- Assist with the provision of an effective respiratory protection program, with an emphasis on preventing the transmission of aerosol transmissible diseases (ATDs) to healthcare personnel
- Assist with development and review of documentation and systems for respiratory protection and for respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
- Some extra hours may be available to cover leave at both Mercy Hospital for Women and Werribee Mercy Hospital
**ABOUT YOU**:
- A qualification in occupational hygiene or associated discipline will be well regarded
- Knowledge and experience in infection control requirements is desirable
- Experience and completion of Quantitative Respirator Fit Test Training an advantage
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate to all levels of health care personnel
- Able to work autonomously with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
