**Your new role**
An exciting 18 months fixed term contract opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated Test Analyst to coordinate and undertake testing of the systems.
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, the Test Analyst is a critical member of the ICT Team who are responsible for delivering major projects and improvements.
As a Test Analyst you will be participating in the requirements, specification, and design reviews, drafting test plans and cases, executing testing and reporting test outcomes. You will also be coordinating and supporting the business areas through user acceptance testing ensuring the system are robust and fit for purpose.
As a valued member of the team you will:
- Participate in requirement, design and specification reviews and uses this information to design test plans and test cases.
- Able to provide accurate estimates of resource and time requirements for testing components for projects and changes.
- Complete thorough testing of systems, outlining any defects and supporting information.
- Manage additional testers (if required).
- Coordinate and support business areas through User Acceptance Testing.
- Identify testing strategies, including managing a set of test suites to be reused across projects and changes.
- Develop and coordinate production verification test plans (Azure DevOps) and test data for releases.
- Communicate results of testing to stakeholders and other team members in a timely manner.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Experience drafting test plans, writing test cases, performing testing, recording, and reporting on test outcomes.
- Experience using testing tools to create and manage test plans, test cases and defects.
- Planning and organisation - able to self-manage and prioritise work: able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
- System thinking - able to consider wider context and break complex topics or scenarios into smaller parts to gain better insights and inform actions required.
- Collaboration - Ability to collaborate and communicate across IT teams (development and business analyst teams) and across business areas.
