As a Supervisor Gold Recovery at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Operation, you will be working 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off and will be leading a team of Process Technicians across CIL, Elution & Gold-Room facilities to ensure operational performance is achieved safely, at budgeted levels.

Your prior experience will include significant time at operational level in a large-scale gold or base metals processing plant, together with time at Supervisory level inclusive of gold room operations. As a team leader, your ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment together with high degree of attention to detail in problem solving and troubleshooting will be required in this role.

An exceptional communicator, you will be able to safely deliver on outputs, through actively engaging with your immediate team, and the broader site team, with a collaborative and positive approach. You will be able to ddemonstrate a personal commitment regarding safety, environmental and social responsibility practices.

At a practical level you will be a competent user of MS Office Software, with strong computer literacy skills to manage and lead a team. Working knowledge of budget and cost control in a process environment, along with and understanding of Statutory regulations for the mining industry is essential for all supervisors. Formal qualifications in Front Line Leadership and Training and Assessing together with First Aid will be highly regarded. Additionally, a current “A” Class drivers’ licence is required.

**Key Responsibilities will include.**
- Be the technical support for your team in all areas of the Gold Recovery Circuit, ensuring sections operate in accordance with statutory requirements and site standard operating procedures.
- Provide direction, development and mentoring for your team, through setting clear expectations, performance management and effective team engagement.
- Ensure required personnel levels and skill sets are achieved through roster management, skill development, competency verifications and on the job training.
- Promote and adhere to policies, procedures and standards by consistently maintaining a high quality of work across all allocated functions.
- Promote and improve operating practices by implementation of and compliance with the site standards, polices and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that the CIL, Elution & Gold-room facilities (Gold Recovery facilities) operate in accordance with NBG’s statutory requirements and procedures.
- Participate effectively in handovers with peers, lead effective toolbox meetings, and actively engage your team in effective problem solving and delivering on improvement initiatives.
- Aid the Superintendents and Supervisors in driving projects and providing advice and support to Process Technicians for plant optimisation and consistent operation.
