**About the role**

We are seeking an experienced Working Capital Manager to lead our newly centralised Client Onboarding, Billing and Credit Control team.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is ideal for professionals with a background in working capital management, practice management, shared services, or transactional finance within a professional services environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Overseeing the entire billing process, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance of invoices
- Managing our credit control team and associated processes to minimise bad debt
- Centralising our existing client onboarding processes including issuing costs agreements, completing conflict checks and verifying client identities
- Ensuring WIP reviews are effectively managed and completed across all Practice Groups
- Collaborate with our Transformation team to identify and implement new technologies and automation tools
- Lead and identify continuous process improvements including those which could potentially be handled by our new offshore team.
- Providing analysis and reporting to senior management
- Assist with the external audit process.

**The Challenge**

Working closely with our Practice Groups, IT and Finance teams, your immediate focus will be on centralising existing firm-wide processes and controls into a new team, resourced with both existing staff and newly recruited team members. You will drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- 5+ years of management experience in working capital, transactional finance, or shared services
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels
- In-depth knowledge of billing processes, working capital, and credit controls
- Strong management skills to effectively supervise both experienced staff and juniors
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and change management
- Experience working in the professional services industry.
