**About the opportunity**:
We are seeking a motivated, value-driven and proactive team member to take the next step in their career through an opportunity in our Home & Living services

The higher duties role will be based in Batemans Bay until 29 September 2023 within our supportive team environment, supporting our participants in the shared goal of unleashing the potential of each client to live the way they choose. Our supported living arrangements across the Eurobodalla LGA offer our tenants quality accessible homes that cater to the individual support needs of people with a range of disabilities.

You will be have the ability to manage the many and varied duties of a Team Leader, including:

- Mentoring and guiding a team of Disability Support Workers to deliver outstanding supports to our clients
- Liaising with families and carers regarding the provision of support to clients
- Maintaining accurate records and providing information for reporting purposes
- Liaising with clinical staff and ensuring all workers are informed & trained in changes to support needs
- Supporting the performance management process in conjunction with Managers and the People Learning & Culture team
- Using Outlook, Excel and various internal systems including Carelink+ and Riskman
- Supporting the implementation of projects and programs that promote inclusion.

You will need to understand medication, reporting requirements and managing risk; and lead others in all of these client related tasks. You will demonstrate experience in how to manage complex support needs and behaviours and have a strong ability to support stakeholders with NDIS review meetings.

**You will have**:

- The ability to lead, motivate and up-skill staff
- Understanding of rostering processes to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing
- A high level of communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues
- Strong leadership capabilities to develop, supervise and support team members to work towards a common goal
- The ability to ensure our policies and procedures are consistently upheld by staff and residents
