- Provide technical support to the Hepatitis B cure research program, assisting with cell culture experiments, murine studies, and analyses of hepatitis B virus replication markers.
- Contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at developing new therapies for hepatitis B virus infection, utilizing your cell culture and laboratory expertise within a renowned research team.

**About the Role**
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for preparing hepatitis B virus inoculum and testing its efficacy in cell culture models of HBV infection.

You will analyze markers of hepatitis B replication in cells, cell culture supernatants, and mice.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Prepare hepatitis B virus inoculum and test efficacy in HBV infection experiments using cell culture models.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, analyze data, and contribute to research outputs.
- Attend weekly laboratory meetings and liaise with support staff.
- Prepare virus-like particles for in vitro and in vivo studies.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You will possess an undergraduate degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

You demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, adapt to new tasks, and contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary research team.

You will also have:

- Excellent time management and work ethic for successful completion of detailed laboratory experiments.
- Proficient computer skills related to laboratory operations and record-keeping.
- Understanding and respect for PC2, DAFF, and OGTR regulations.
- Protective immunity to hepatitis B virus.
