**About The Role**:
The role of the **Library Officer **is to support the customer service functions of the library service at Bendigo Kangan Institute. This will include providing all front-facing functions to enable the operations within each library. It will also include providing front-facing (and virtual) library support services to students.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to support our students access physical and digital library resources and assist with general enquiries. Your strong technological and communication skills will play a pivotal role in the operation of our libraries. While the role is located at Broadmeadows, you will need to be willing to work from other campuses when needed, to support planned and unplanned leave coverage.

- Either a relevant library qualification recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or progress towards library qualifications, or significant work experience in a customer service role
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and a supportive work environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to confidently and actively engage with customers
- Well-developed written and interpersonal skills with experience in documenting work processes and checklists
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with a diverse community
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in using information technology and software including Microsoft Office suite. (Familiarity with web-based systems / Library Management Systems would be advantageous)

**Things we will require from you**:
