The Manager, Enabling Aboriginal Self Determination within the First Peoples Self Determination Division drives end-to-end coordination of DEECA's approach to Aboriginal Self Determination.

The Manager works across DEECA's policy areas to ensure Traditional Owner rights and government's commitments to Aboriginal Self-Determination are central to the development of new policies and strategies and carried through to implementation on Country.

The position requires a sound understanding and experience in the delivery of complex projects and developing and influencing policy and strategy in Government as well as a high level of cultural capability and experience working with Victorian Traditional Owners and Aboriginal communities.

The position requires an in-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and an ability to communicate with Aboriginal communities. **Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and society and ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people.

**This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.**
