This is an Identified position - it is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
This role creates opportunities and enables greater economic participation for Aboriginal Victorians and Aboriginal businesses in Victorian's civil construction industry.

- Managing and delivering strategies to increase sustainable employment and supply chain opportunities for Aboriginal people in the civil construction industry.
- Leading strategies to build collaborative, high-performance and innovative relationships across community, industry and government to increase Aboriginal self
- determination as part of the delivery of Victoria's civil construction projects.
- Representing MRPV at a range of internal (government) and external (industry) forums and working groups.
- Designing and managing strategies to strengthen awareness and celebration of Aboriginal culture, knowledge and expertise.
- Embed Aboriginal Self Determination to improve employment, procurement, cultural wellbeing and capability, and economic prosperity

You will have designed, implemented, and managed Aboriginal inclusion and diversity programs to increase better social outcomes. You will have extensive knowledge of key government policies and experience implementing initiatives to increase Aboriginal participation and social procurement of aboriginal businesses.
An interest in the construction industry and experience working in an infrastructure environment is highly regarded.
This role is a 3-year fixed-term position.
