Projects Kensington Full Time

Metro Trains, delivery partner of the South Easter Program Alliance (SEPA) for Victoria’s Level Crossing Removal Project, is currently seeking a Supervisor to join the team supporting the delivery of a large-scale infrastructure projects.These projects benefit train users, pedestrians, cyclists, drivers and the wider community by improving safety, reducing road congestion, and enabling more frequent train services.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Project Engineer, initially you will be working with the team on theSouth Dynontrain maintenance facility upgrade. You will be responsible for ensuring dedicated works are delivered in accordance with the program, quality, safety and cost requirements to ensure that the Alliance/Project’s objectives are met. Whilst leading a team of employees and/or subcontractors, the role will be responsible for the safe and successful completion of Rail specific Construction activities across the project or within specific works in the project.

This role will suit someone with previous Leading Hand or Supervisor experience within large scale, multi-stakeholder commercial construction or Rail infrastructure projects.

About you
- Technician qualification or equivalent in a Rail specific discipline
- 2-5 years previous experience in a similar role within Rail Industry or similar multi-discipline industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of Construction and Maintenance with current technologies
- Technical competency and understanding of current Rail Infrastructure construction and maintenance
- Installation Experience with Specialist plant (Underfloor Wheel Lathe, Train Wash, Biowash) would be advantageous
