**ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE DEPARTMENT**:
**_ This exciting role will provide coordinated support to NDIS and eligible patients at Werribee Mercy Hospital and be a resource to the organisation in the area of disability. The successful applicant will have consolidated skills and professional knowledge, the ability to provide secondary and primary consultations, and have the opportunity to participate in the development of evidence based education and resources._**
- Fixed term Part Time 0.8 EFT
- Grade 2 or 3 depending on experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of the NDIS is essential
- Either an Occupational Therapist or a Social Worker are welcome to apply, however this role will report to the Social Work Manager
**ABOUT YOU**:
- An enthusiastic and motivated Social Worker with current AASW membership (or eligibility for membership) or Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration.
- Experienced clinician with ability to provide expert assessment and support through the stages of NDIS access and implementation
- A sound understanding and working knowledge of the key disability and NDIS stakeholders
- Ability to offer clinical expertise in the area of disability and work with key stakeholders across the organisation including the NDIA Health Liaison Officer, senior medical, nursing and allied health teams.

Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
