At Proximity, the role of a Project Finance Officer sits within our Project Management and Performance practice group and therefore can be broad in nature; so perfect for those who want to build on current experience and have the opportunity to diversify further in the finance and project management space, as this role has the opportunity to provide professional variety.

Your role will be to help clients achieve their organisational vision through the successful delivery of their strategic projects with a user-centric, consistent and adaptable set of skills, tools and processes, and the development of a useable set of financial modelling, business cases and project management artefacts that support project delivery while being simple to use. You will support client project management skill development by using your expertise across multiple finance and project management methodologies to adapt solutions that meet specific client needs.

This position is based in our Canberra office, where you will be a key team member delivering expertise to predominantly government departments.

Current government experience and a valid security clearance is essential for this position.

- Microsoft office 365 Suite - With high-level proficiencies in Excel

**What you will achieve in this position**

- Strengthen and build on your project management technical capabilities, with the willingness to complete further Project Management courses, if required
- Provide support and guidance to both client and internal Projects, whilst working alongside key internal stakeholders. Build on your knowledge, capabilities and promote broader understanding of your skills within Proximity
- Help build out the Project Management and Performance service groups financial acumen by collaborating and contributing to the group and broader Proximity Learning & Development strategy
- Maintain a strategic outlook and environmental scanning to inform the design and implementation of the project
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and very high-level professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of different people
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, including the ability to set priorities and work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Develop your competencies in business development areas across Proximity, such as tendering and bid proficiencies and recruitment - Collaboratively work alongside the Service Lead, Client engagement and the People team to build your knowledge and skills
- Proven ability to work independently, and as part of a team
