**Responsibilities and Skills**:
As a Manager in this Boutique, you are committed to delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
- **Store Operations Management**: Managing day-to-day store operations efficiently, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and ensuring the store is well-maintained and organised.
- **Inventory Control**: Overseeing the inventory of clothing, accessories, and other products. This includes inventory procurement, stock replenishment, and inventory audits to minimise losses and ensure that popular items are always in stock.
- **Visual Merchandising**: Developing and implementing visual merchandising strategies to create appealing displays and store layouts that attract customers and encourage sales.
- **Sales and Customer Service**: Ensuring exceptional customer service by training and supervising staff, setting sales targets, and monitoring their performance. Management should also be prepared to step in and assist with customer inquiries or issues.
- **Staffing and Training**: Recruiting, hiring, and training new employees, as well as conducting ongoing training programs to keep staff informed about product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
- **Financial Management**: Monitoring and managing the store's financial performance, including budgeting, sales forecasting, expense control, and ensuring that financial targets are met.
- **Marketing and Promotion**: Collaborating with the marketing team to plan and execute marketing and promotional strategies to attract customers and increase sales. This may include in-store events, advertising, and online marketing efforts.
- **Vendor and Supplier Relations**: Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate favourable terms, and maintain good stock levels of quality products.
- **Loss Prevention**: Implementing loss prevention measures to minimise theft and fraud, including security systems, staff training, and inventory control procedures.
- **Customer Feedback**: Gathering and analysing customer feedback to improve products and services, as well as addressing customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- **Long-Term Planning**: Participating in long-term strategic planning for the store, which may involve expanding the business, opening new locations, or exploring new product lines.
- **Community Engagement**: Building positive relationships within the local community by participating in local events, supporting charitable causes, and fostering goodwill.
- **Reporting**: Providing regular reports to higher-level management or the owner on the store's performance, including sales figures, budget adherence, and any challenges or opportunities.
- **Adaptation**: Staying informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competition, and making necessary adjustments to the store's strategies and offerings to stay competitive.
