Role

Based in the Waterfront Place office, reporting to the People & Development Centre Manager and working closely with a People & Development Coordinator (Graduates), this role is responsible for leading the clerk and graduate attraction and recruitment function for our Brisbane centre.

This role doesn’t stop at recruitment - working closely with our broader People & Development team, including Talent & Capability, you will provide ongoing management, support and guidance for clerks and graduates.

This is a pivotal role working with the Brisbane partners and as part of our national team with a focus on ensuring KWM is an employer of choice for clerks and graduates, and that once part of the KWM team, they develop and grow their career with us

Detail

This is a relationship role that will also lean on your strategic thinking capability, and draw on our principles of betterment, creativity and quality. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining and improving our position as a leading graduate employer
- Management of attraction and marketing strategies for early careers talent including campus activity for Brisbane clerk and graduate intake
- Management of Brisbane recruitment and selection approach and processes for clerkship and graduate positions
- Support and guidance for clerks during the seasonal clerk program and graduates during the 18month graduate program
- Management of clerk and graduate programs in Brisbane, working closely with partners and the broader People & Development team
- Annual review of program feedback, market positioning and recommendations for future strategy based on insights
- Overall management of Brisbane graduate/clerk recruitment budget
- Collaboration on national initiatives and projects
- Support, lead and mentor the P&D Coordinator (Graduates)
- Management of paralegal resources across the Brisbane centre

You will also need:

- Experience in a human resources advisory role
- Current knowledge of trends and developments in early careers talent programs
- Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to influence across all levels
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do mindset
- A passion and commitment to innovation and Diversity & Inclusion
- Exceptional project management skills and enjoyment working in a timeline driven space
- Sound understanding of the law and legislation affecting HR management in a large organisation
- Good technical HR knowledge and experience in and/or curiosity about early career recruitment and development
- General working knowledge of Chris21 or a similar HRIS system
- Professionalism and sensitivity when dealing with people situations are essential
- Ability to form solid relationships both internally and externally with professionalism and ease

Please note due to the nature of this role with careers and graduate events, flexibility to work outside office hours will be required.
