**About our opportunity**

Council's Project Management Department delivers $250M of **Capital and Operational Programs and Projects** across 550 projects ranging from $10k to $20M each year. The projects include **municipal asset classes** of Roads, Drainage, Coastal Engineering, Buildings, Sporting Facilities, Bridges, Playgrounds, Parks, Waste Facilities and Transportation.

Within the department, the Local Community Infrastructure Program provides input into the development of the project scope for each Councillor's divisionally funded projects.

As the Project Officer you'll be supporting the project progress updates to Councillors and developing scoping documentation for multidisciplinary projects for a diverse range of infrastructure projects. You'll also be involved in:

- research and analysis contributing to the **preparation of project documentation**:

- undertaking **preconstruction activities** including project scope development and initiation, planning, design, relevant approvals and constructability considerations
- supporting the **preparation of concept designs, estimates and drafting project scoping documents**:

- providing **routine advice to key stakeholders** in accordance with current construction legislation, Australian standards, Workplace Health and Safety requirements and accepted work practices
- contributing to a positive team environment in order to achieve a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused culture.

**About you**
- We're looking for a team member with sound knowledge and experience in the development, project management and construction for local community infrastructure, and:

- demonstrated experience in project initiation, development and planning processes
- great time management skills and communication skills
- actively contributes to fostering a healthy, inclusive and well-connected workplace.
- tertiary qualification in architecture, civil engineering or project management, or relevant experience
- C Class licence (required).
