**About the Role**

The key responsibility area for the position is to respond to and manage customer enquiries and correspondence regarding Council’s Waste and Resource Recovery Services, however other key responsibilities include:

- Monitor and report on customer enquiries and correspondence.
- Assist in the identification and development of improved processes.
- Ensure that Council’s waste and Resource Recovery services and information are actively promoted to the community.
- Develop and update educational and promotional material as required.
- Provide administrative project support for waste projects and contracts, including tendering, reporting, payments, communications, drafting correspondence and maintaining project files.
- Coordinate and perform administration functions of the Resource Recovery team including information systems, reports, records, correspondence, word processing, meetings, plans, website publishing and communications.
- Provide administration support to the Manager Environment Sustainability and Environment Sustainability team where required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Environment Sustainability department including but not limited to, active participation in business planning and delivery.

Applicants with education and engagement experience, and/or environmental sustainability experience will be well received, although this is not essential.
