Risk Management Lead

Lead the identification, execution and ongoing management of effective risk management practices across the Function (Finance). Promote a positive risk aware culture and partner with senior stakeholders to identify areas of risk.

**About the Role**
Provide expert advice and guidance to Leaders to inform and influence the right risk management strategies, incident and issue response plans, control design and assurance testing.

**Duties**
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a **Risk Management Lead** you will**:
- Produce and manage reporting to support proper and timely closure of incidents, issues and audit related actions across the Function including monthly reporting for the Leadership Team.
- Manage and monitor the obligation register and lead management of the risk profile for the Function ensuring currency and inclusion of new or changes to existing obligations and controls as well as emerging risks and delivered risks through portfolio initiatives.
- Lead and develop effective risk mitigation strategies, complete risk assessments, root cause analysis, control development and control testing/assurance.
- Lead development and maintenance of the assurance calendar and associated activities including design and completion of test scripts and effectiveness testing for the Function.
- Review and analyse audit recommendations and responses, incident and issue closure packs and testing results to identify gaps and challenge assumptions.
**Skills & Experience**
- Extensive experience in working in senior operations, compliance, audit or risk management roles.
- Successful completion of relevant tertiary qualifications in risk, compliance or equivalent skills acquired through practical experience
- Advanced organisational and time management skills, with exceptional communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management - internal and external
- Take initiative, forward plan and be adaptive
