**The Opportunity**

The National Deputy Quality Manager holds a pivotal supporting role within Ramsay Health Care Australia (RHCA), tasked with the crucial responsibility of facilitating the implementation of clinical quality programs and accreditation processes. This role is instrumental in enhancing patient safety and improving the overall patient experience. Specifically, the position assists Ramsay Health Care Hospitals in preparing for accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Care Standards (NSQHCS) v.2, and actively supports the implementation of recommendations post-accreditation. The role involves coordinating the creation of standardised audit tools, gap analysis tools, and action plans to ensure comprehensive quality management.

**What You Will Do**
- Provide expert support to Hospital Executives in implementing quality initiatives and strategies, emphasising best practices, enhancing patient safety, and meeting accreditation requirements.
- Contribute to the organisation's accreditation support programme, ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other accreditation programmes. This involves conducting surveys, offering recommendations for improvement, and presenting trend analyses and lessons learned across the organisation.
- Develop and implement Accreditation resources and communications consistently across facilities. Standardise auditing, compliance activities, and the presentation of evidence material required for Accreditation across Ramsay Health Care Australia.
- Assist national business leads in aligning their initiatives with robust clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement principles. This includes adapting clinical incident data and reporting requirements to the specific setting.
- Monitor facility responses to national accreditation requirements, clinical care standards, and strategic quality improvement programmes to minimise clinical risk effectively.
- Support strategic programmes aimed at enhancing clinical capability and the reliability of patient safety systems and quality standards. Collaborate with Directors of Clinical Services, Quality Managers, Nursing and Midwifery Unit Managers across Ramsay Health Care.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Hold tertiary qualifications in nursing or a health-related field, with a minimum of five years' experience, including at least two years in quality/health management.
- Maintain current relevant registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of quality, accreditation, and patient safety issues, along with proficiency in processes and adverse event investigation methodologies.
- Showcase experience in organizational preparedness for accreditation under the National Safety and Quality Health Care Standards v.2.
- Exhibit project management expertise and a track record in supporting the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of large-scale system changes.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze clinical data, review quality and safety metrics, assess clinical outcomes, identify trends, and propose opportunities for improvement.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to build relationships, network effectively, and influence stakeholders across the organization. This is particularly crucial in supporting key strategic priorities related to accreditation, patient safety, and quality improvement.

**Desirable but not essential**
- Post graduate qualifications in health service management, quality or change management.
- Completion of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care on-line accreditation education and training.
