**About Us**:
Nirimba State Primary School opened in 2022 and provides a high-quality educational service to the students of Nirimba and Banya. Our student enrolment has increased significantly since opening and we are now a school of 560 students.
The Head of Special Education Services at Nirimba State Primary School is known as the Head of Inclusion. 67 students are captured as part of the NCCD at our school. You will work as part of the management team of the school, leading your team of three other inclusion teachers and three teacher aides.
**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead the inclusion agenda at the school in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Through your leadership, ensure a high-quality service is being provided by your team with appropriate engagement of parents, carers, staff and students.
- Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure effective and efficient management of the Inclusion portfolio to deliver high-quality educational and support services.
- Collaborate with regional support services and external agencies to leverage the best possible outcomes for students who require additional support at school.
- Develop the capability of your team and teaching staff at the school to ensure adjustments are recorded, implemented with fidelity and communicated with parents and carers.
- Support transitions for students from local ECDP's to Prep.
- Provide oversight of policy and legislation relating to education for students with disability to ensure that the school is adhering to the Disability Standards for Education and meeting our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act.
