We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Head of Special Education Services at Torquay State School. The successful candidate will provide high-quality advice to the school leadership team and classroom teachers to develop and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality advice to the school leadership team and classroom teachers to develop and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.
- Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
- Provide, support, and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.
- Participate in school decision-making processes and professional development to contribute to school goals, vision, and planning.
- High levels of experience working with a range of students with disabilities.
- Good working knowledge of the department's inclusive education policy.
- Good understanding and experience in developing ICPs and supporting staff in providing reasonable adjustments for students.
