**Health and Safety Advisor**:

We’re seeking a **Health and Safety Advisor** to deliver the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) requirements to our well-established Government contract, Land and Housing Corporation. This a** part time position** based in our Newcastle office in Carrington.

**What you will be doing**:

- Inform and implement Safety Management Plans across the contract.
- Required to travel across Newcastle to various sites to conduct investigations, toolbox talks, site inductions.
- Implement processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures including fostering a culture of ‘safety and health above all else.’
- Deliver on employee rehabilitation, including Return to Work planning engaging as required with Ventia specialists.
- Ensure risk assessments and risk registers are maintained and all records are managed.
- Ensure that the Ventia “Critical Risk Protocols” are embedded in the contract.

**About you**:

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace, Health and Safety.
- Experience in ICAM training, working at heights and internal auditing are advantageous however not essential.
- Ability to clearly communicate and consult to deliver strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work autonomously and build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy.
- Current drivers license.

Managing NSW Land and Housing Corporation assets, we care for some of Australia’s most vulnerable citizens. Our work involves maintenance services (planned and reactive) and emergency call out, using our Sydney-based National Call Centre which takes calls directly from residents and actions them right through the process.
