**About the Opportunity**:
Strathfield Council is seeking a dedicated and capable Horticulturalist to join our team of open spaces and parks workers.

This role provides the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the appearance of Council’s highly regarded and well-appreciated Open Space areas.

The role entails:

- Completing horticulturalist maintenance program components/requests associated with a high level of service delivery;
- Maintaining fleet, plant and tools to support operational activities;
- Assisting the Parks Team Leaders with the completion of reasonably requested duties.

**About You**:
You will enjoy working outside in the fresh air amongst astonishing open spaces. You will feel a sense of reward from completing tasks that ensures our parks and open spaces are well-maintained for our communities’ appreciation.

You will have completed a minimum Certificate III in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens) and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. You will have successful experience working in a horticultural role and in maintaining all associated plant/equipment.

You will have a current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence and AQF 3 Chemical Accreditation.

**S**alary and Conditions**:
The salary range for this position is $58,756 to $67,357 p.a. + Super, dependent upon the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
