**Your role**

Lead & manage a team in the delivery of strategic projects, programs and policy initiatives, and provide expert advice to achieve Government objectives in relation to the Veterans Affairs portfolio.

**What you’ll do**

You’ll actively build and maintain collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Provide support to the Director (Office for Veterans Affairs) with the day-to-day management of the office to ensure the smooth, timely management of all projects and programs.

Prepare and oversee preparation of submissions and expert advice in the form of correspondence or briefs to respond to Ministerial, Cabinet, Departmental or community requests, and to support policy directions.

- Demonstrated experience facilitating and managing high priority projects to deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes
- Ability to analyse complex and sensitive issues, provide strategic advice and solutions within an environment consisting of competing priorities which are often changing and unpredictable
