develop a nationally consistent approach to managing quality and safeguards for

people with disability receiving supports or services, including those received under

the National Disability Insurance Scheme

promote the provision of advice, information, education and training to NDIS

providers and people with disability

secure compliance with relevant legislation through effective compliance and

enforcement arrangements, including through the monitoring and investigation

functions conferred on the Commissioner by legislation

promote continuous improvement amongst NDIS providers and the delivery of

progressively higher standards of supports and services to people with disability

develop and oversee the broad policy design for a nationally consistent framework

relating to the screening of workers involved in the provision of supports and

services to people with disability

provide advice or recommendations to the National Disability Insurance Agency

(NDIA) and its Board in relation to the performance of the Agency’s functions

engage in, promote and coordinate the sharing of information to achieve the

objects of the relevant legislation, and

provide NDIS market oversight, including:
i. by monitoring changes in the NDIS market which may indicate emerging

risk; and

ii. By monitoring and mitigating the risks of unplanned service withdrawal.

**Regulatory Operations (Registrar) Division**
The Regulatory Operations Division consists of:
Provider Registration and Market Coordination

Campaigns and Projects

Fraud Fusion Taskforce team

Compliance and enforcement operations that deliver the NDIS Commission’s
function relating to reportable incidents, compliance and enforcement. This
include local engagement; building provider capability to prevent and manage
incidents affecting people with disability; and undertaking compliance and
investigation activities, and enforcement action.

**Fraud Fusion Taskforce**
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce has been established to detect and prevent fraud in the NDIS

and to strengthen the Commonwealth’s fraud detection and response capability. The

Taskforce coordinates intelligence sharing, identification and response by the NDIS

Commission and its partner agencies, including law enforcement and regulators.

The role of the Taskforce is to detect fraud perpetrated by serious organised crime (SOC)

entities and others seeking to exploit the Government’s systems of social supports. The

NDIS Commission will address quality and safeguarding risks for NDIS participants and

NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission 3

resulting from fraud, non-compliance and incorrect payments against NDIS plans, through

the identification of risks and execution of disruption, compliance and enforcement

actions, in conjunction with Taskforce partners.

**Key duties**
this role you will:
Lead and coordinate intelligence projects, producing a range of high quality tactical
and operational intelligence products informing and impacting decision-making for
internal and external stakeholders, targeting organised fraud in Government
programs, including the NDIS;
Liaise with other government agencies, share information and intelligence, produce
briefing papers including link charts and reports;
Potentially work within the Fraud Fusion Centre as an ACIC member of staff,

contributing to the development of intelligence products for the benefit of the
NDIS Commission and other taskforce members;
