**About the NSW Reconstruction Authority**

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation and was established to proactively reduce the impact of future disasters across NSW and to help communities recover from them faster.

The Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and all levels of government to reduce the impact natural disasters have on our lives.

**About the role**

The Project Officer coordinates and delivers timely and efficient advice, responses and briefings for ministers and senior executives on complex matters in tight timeframes, ensuring they are concise, accurate and well researched.

In this role you will:

- Research, collate, prepare and review high level communications and correspondence including briefings, reports, submissions and other communications to ensure written documents are comprehensive, accurate, timely and succinct and they language and tone are appropriate.
- Identify and escalate urgent or sensitive matters and assist in resolving conflicting advice
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key agency contacts
- Keep up to date on relevant and emerging issues
- Ensure responses are provided within required timeframes
- Contribute to a strong and effective Ministerial Coordination team culture

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex government environment
- Strong communications skills who can interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, high level of autonomy and can deliver on multiple priorities within given timeframes
