**THE OPPORTUNITY**
TAFE NSW is looking for suitably qualified, experienced, and passionate experts in different aspects of Surveying to join our team. Working within world-class teaching facilities at our Newcastle campus, you will share your industry knowledge and expertise and deliver educational programs with an engaged student cohort and peers.
**ABOUT YOU**
To be considered for the position you will have:

- Degree in Surveying or Diploma in Surveying or equivalent
- Or Other tertiary qualifications in Applied Mathematics or similar would be considered
- Sound current Surveying experience
- Minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in an industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five (5) years previously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- And skills and expertise in one or more of the following specialised areas:

- Demonstrated ability in drawing software such as 12D, Magnet, Civil Cad LisCad, Land Marc and AutoCAD and/or other industry current software
- Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) experience in the survey industry
- GIS - Geographic Information System - experience working with programs such as QGIS and/or Arc GIS
- Scanning or Drone Expertise in relation to its use in the survey industry
- Underground service locating.

**As well as**:

- High level written and oral communication skills in English and proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments,
- Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment, and
- Demonstrated Organisational skills applicable to an educational setting

**Desirable**:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education - scholarships available
- Experience teaching in the VET system

Note: All qualifications, certifications and experience need to be acquired locally and relate directly to the Surveying Profession (foreign qualifications and certifications will not be accepted)
