This position provides the opportunity to make a real difference to students. You will provide support to Pathways students primarily at the Callaghan campus to assist with their success, retention and transition. We are seeking an energetic and positive person who genuinely wants to work as part of this great team. You will have strong communication and problem solving skills combined with experience working with students. See below for more details.

Some of what you will be doing in this role will include:

- Providing advice to prospective Pathways students on course selection, admission, enrolment and transition processes.
- Participating in University Open, Schools Visit Days or Advisory days/events,
- Providing advice, and assistance to Pathways students with respect to a range of program related matters such as progression, timetabling, study load and course choices.

The Pathways and Academic Learning Support (PALS) Centre has a proud history of delivering flexible and supportive pathways for students regardless of their background or circumstances. The Centre has offered enabling programs since 1973, beginning with the largest such program in Australia, the Open Foundation program. The Centre is a dynamic and collegial community of academics, teachers and professional staff committed to ensuring its students are appropriately supported to maximise their success. The Student Liaison Officers are key members of the professional support team, working closely with students, academic staff and other support providers.

This position is a part time fixed term position 4 days per week (Tuesday - Friday) and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land) with opportunity to also work occasionally at the Ourimbah Campus (Darkinjung Land).

**What we offer**

The remuneration for this position is pro-rated from $86,842 - $95,822 FTE plus superannuation (commensurate with skills and experience) and employee benefits.
