**About the role**:
As the **Delivery Manager for Engineering**, you will report into the Head of Store Customer Platform with the primary objective of this role being managing the technology engineering function in the Store Customer Platform, delivering technology updates and new solutions to support critical operational processes in stores. Key solutions supported include R10 Point of Sale for Coles Supermarkets, StorePoint POS for Coles Express, Scales and Ticketing solutions.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Engineering Quality**
- Develop strong governance and engineering guidelines.
- Put in place measures to manage quality with an ROI.
- Leverage tools and processes across the business and externally to bring the best thinking and approaches to the team.
- Ensure fit for purpose processes and tool sets that have demonstrable value.
- Define how quality will be measured across systems, work practices and outcomes being delivered

**Program Delivery**:

- Ensure program alignment and delivery of projects
- Oversee larger projects; ensuring that risks, stakeholders, scope and change impacts are managed effectively
- Drive successful IT/business outcomes in a cost-effective and timely manner
- Manage small and medium projects and assignments
- Accountable for Architecture and System Development
- Ensure strategic alignment and architectural sign off for all deliverables from development team
- Provide updates on Project and Service Delivery Status for senior management

- To ensure a productive relationship between Technology and the Business
- To manage the Technology commercial and strategic relationship with key vendors
- Provide a seamless interaction across businesses and all Technology departments for the provision of IT services

**Mandatory Compliance **Leadership (with direct reports)**:

- Accountable for individual and team compliance with company values, policies and procedures (including Coles Code of Conduct) and all applicable external laws and regulations
- Embedding compliance requirements into business planning and practices
- Establishing and maintaining effective governance practices across areas of responsibility
- Leading a strong governance and compliance culture amongst team
- Resolving, managing and reporting compliance incidents.
- Ensuring team member compliance, training and development is adequately addressed

**Good things you’ll need**:

- Demonstrated track record of delivering quality commercial and customer outcomes, meeting or exceeding performance and revenue targets
- 5+ years’ experience managing teams of Technology professionals and vendors
- 5+ years’ experience working with complex systems engineering and business processes, in regulated industries.
- 5+ years’ experience in delivering large programs of work
- Proven ability to manage complex Program Scheduling, Financial and Resource Management, Change Control, Risk Issues and Assumptions Management, Status Reporting, Documentation and Deliverable Management
- Ability to assess a business case to propose conceptual solutions, provide order-of-magnitude estimates and identify required enabling technology, synergies, dependencies and constraints
- Experience in building, leading and coordinating project teams including software vendors and 3rd party integrators
- Experience in technology strategy development
- Experience managing relationships with senior leaders
- Experience at managing department and project budgets
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in working in Agile and Waterfall and flexible approach to project methodologies

**Commercial Skills and Formal Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification preferred
- Exceptional passion for delivering for customers
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to target communication at the right level at the right time
- Exceptional people management, collaboration and communication skills
