At Proximity, project financial management is fundamental to achieving many of our client project outcomes, therefore can be broad in nature; so perfect for those who want to build on current government or Defence professional experience and have the opportunity to diversify further in the finance and project management space.

Your role will be to help clients achieve their organisational vision through the successful delivery of their strategic projects with a user-centric, consistent and adaptable set of skills, tools and processes.

**What you will achieve in this position**

As a professional who shares our values and vision you will use your expertise and key attributes to:

- Use excellent organisational and planning skills, including the ability to set priorities and work to strict deadlines with a preventer mindset within in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage key stakeholders and provide high-level professional written and verbal communication skills liaising and sharing complex financial information in a simple way.
- Provide effective financial and data management tool (eg Power BI) reporting, presentation, and explanation to a variety of teams.
- Help build the financial management acumen within the project team, including client teams and the development of a useable set of financial modelling, business cases and project management artefacts that support project delivery while being simple to use.
- Support client project management skill development by using your expertise across multiple finance and project management methodologies to adapt solutions that meet specific client needs.
- Work independently, and as part of a passionate and engaging team.

This position is based in our Canberra office, where you will be a key team member delivering expertise to predominantly government departments.

Current government experience and a valid security clearance is essential for this position.
