**About The Role**

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Family Violence Advisor to work within the Monash Mental Health Program. The role will provide specialist input to family violence issues across all teams. The role will work collaboratively with the Family Violence Clinical and Project Lead and Monash teams to implement family violence reforms within the program. The Specialist Family Violence Advisor will provide high level clinical reasoning, expertise and guidance in increasing capability and capacity to respond to family violence across these sectors. The role will include the following responsibilities:

- Support collaboration between the mental health sector, alcohol and other drugs sector and the family violence sector
- Provide secondary consultation
- Support family violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) alignment and embedding.
- Engage with statewide Specialist Family Violence Advisor activity

**About You**

You will be part of an exciting opportunity to lead practice change, skill development and collaboration in responding to family violence as part of the Victoria wide reforms. You will work with the support of the Project Lead in a unique position to provide expertise at both local and state-wide levels to improve the way authorities, systems and services present, identify and respond to family violence.

This is a permanent role, working across all sites and teams within the Mental Health Program.

You are also:

- passionate about changing the story for people affected by family violence
- confident in risk assessment
- able to influence organisational policies and procedures
- work collaboratively and enthusiastically with systems
- committed to delivering patient centred care and patient advocacy
- confident and inspiring training facilitator
- knowledgeable and understanding of the dynamics, complexities, consequences and issues of domestic and family violence

What You Need:

- Relevant Qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work)
- Demonstrated experience (minimum seven years postgraduate experience)
- Current AHPRA registration (if relevant)
- Australian working rights
