We are looking for an
**Injury Management and Rehabilitation Coordinator** to join our
**Quality Team** on a
**Permanent Full Time** basis, based at our modern
**Head Office **in
**Clayfield**.
The Injury Management & Rehabilitation Coordinator is responsible for leading initiatives and processes to support employee’s health and wellbeing including return to work arrangements. This position is responsible for supporting all Safety and Quality functions. This position will require you to support your direct manager, Group Executives and the Safety and Quality team with any further standard or delegated tasks as required. This position covers all Qscan Group offices and clinic locations across all state’s nationwide.
**You will**:
- Collaborate with WHS team to implement proactive measures to reduce injuries and time off work
- Liaise with internal and external parties to coordinate injured worker’s return to work
- Understand the physical and technical requirements of each role to inform modified and complete suitable duties plans
- Maintain relevant statistics with a view to reducing time off work
- Monitor Workers’ Compensation premiums as appropriate
- Report on incidents as required on cyclical and ad-hoc basis
- Report potential Workcover claims to the insurer within the specified state timeframes
- Support staff with lodging Workcover claims (as required)
- Liaise with Workcover on claim details, concerns, acceptances, appeals, uploading of med certs etc.
- Comply with legislated and departmental programs, including all policies and procedures, in relation to: Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S), Radiation Safety, Quality Assurance (including NSQHS Standards), Workplace Diversity, Privacy, Confidentiality, Appropriate Workplace Behaviour and Customer Service.
- Exercise reasonable care in the performance of duties consistent with WH&S policies including but not limited to patient care, equipment handling, manual handling and hazard identification.
- Diligently report and document any WH&S matters such as potential hazards, near misses, accidents, incidents and equipment faults in accordance to Qscan policies and procedures.
- Comply & maintain any role required WH&S training, licenses and professional registration completed within required timeframe.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities as required
**About You**
Alongside your qualification or equivalent experience in WH&S, you will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, sound knowledge of the WH&S Act, regulations and codes of practice, and a passion for promoting WH&S principles within an organisation.
You will also have:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and warm and friendly demeanour
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to problem-solve and think on your feet
- High-level organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work with a diverse group of healthcare staff to implement WH&S performance and improvement strategies
- Experience in developing relevant policies, procedures, and documents, e.g., SWMS, risk assessments.
- Ability to identify safety issues and prepare a comprehensive plan to achieve safety goals.
- Ability to investigate accidents and incidents and make recommendations for preventative action.
- An unrestricted Driver’s licence.
- The ability to negotiate and effectively influence.
- Proficient computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Programs (Advanced Word, Excel, Outlook) and working with databases and other programs (i.e., SharePoint).
