**Position Descriptor**:

- Part-time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
- Adelaide Secondary School of English provides Intensive English Language programs for secondary aged newly arrived students from non-English Speaking Backgrounds. The school curriculum is informed by the Australian Curriculum (AC), the New Arrivals Program (NAP) and Child Protection Curriculum (CPC). Students enrol and begin in classes throughout the term and then transition to mainstream schools in 12-18 months.- What you will do:

- The successful applicant will be expected to
- Have sound knowledge and skills in the teaching of EALD, Phonics and the BIG 6 of Reading
- Be proficient in NAP Pedagogy and Trauma Informed Practice
- Plan and deliver sequenced, structured and engaging units of learning in line with the school curriculum
- Assess student progress using Learning English Achievement and Proficiency (LEAP), and provide constructive feedback to support student achievement and wellbeing.
- Maintain a supportive inclusive classroom and cater for a range of learning abilities through differentiation and individual learning plans as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and culturally diverse communities.
