Why this role matters
The Doorways program provides person centred care to community members experiencing financial or other forms of hardship through the provision of financial and material emergency relief. Case management is provided at some of the Doorways sites to engage people through early intervention as well as address long term disadvantage to break the cycle of poverty and alleviate financial hardship. Our practitioners are strength based and trauma informed in their practice to build individual capacity, resilience and wellbeing.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator Receptionist to act as the first point of contact to clients and visitors for the Doorways program. You will provide a high level of customer service and administrative support to the program.
Responsibilities include:
- Establish effective work relationships with Corps Officers, key staff, managers, and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Maintain regular communication with all team members
- Ordering office supplies, including stationery, ensuring TSA is using the most cost-effective suppliers.
- Entering data into relevant databases.
- Assist in administrative functions for meetings and events, including catering
This is a permanent part time position, 15 hours per week located at the service in Preston.
You will have
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role.
- Desirable - Certificate III or above in Administration or currently working towards.

- Strong experience deescalating difficult conversations
- Experience providing customer service to complex clients
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Willingness to undergo a national criminal history and work eligibility check
