**About the role**:
A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as the Teacher - Interior Design VETiS within our Faculty of Business, Information Technology and Applied Arts. This role is being offered at.14 FTE - Wednesday afternoons at our Nelson Road Campus in Box Hill.

Within this role you will be providing high quality and innovative course materials and teaching delivery to domestic and international students. You will be delivering planned lessons using a variety of methods including Moodle to engage students and meet their learning styles and needs.

You will have the rewarding opportunity to guide students through their Certificate III in Interior Decoration Retail Services (MSF31018) for their VETDSS classes, supporting their success and improving their employment/education pathways.

The Teacher - Interior Design VETiS is one of several positions in the Faculty and forms part of our Education Delivery Division. The position reports to the Coordinator - Design and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant Interior Design industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of the BHI Group at all levels.
- Please note; this role is fixed term until December 2023. The salary for this role is MEA level 1- 3 dependent on qualifications.**About You**:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (essential)
- Diploma of Interior Design, Diploma of Visual Merchandising or equivalent and relevant industry experience
- Ability to design and deliver engaging and relevant course materials and lessons
- Experience understanding adult learning principles and ability to utilise learning management systems
- Ability to demonstrate leadership within the classroom; motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes, manage difficult and sensitive topics and questions and identify potential and existing issues and setbacks; working to resolve any issues
- Passionate about knowledge sharing and ability to work within a team, contributing to the positive work environment and culture
- Proven ability to be readily adaptable to changing circumstances within the classroom
- Highly supportive and compassionate with a commitment to continuous improvement and high level communication
