**About the role**:
A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as one of our Asian Cookery Teachers

Within this role you will be providing high quality and innovative course materials and teaching delivery to domestic and international students. You will be delivering planned lessons using a variety of methods including Moodle to engage students and meet their learning styles and needs.

You will have the rewarding opportunity to guide students through their Asian Cookery course, supporting their success and improving their employment/education pathways.

The Teacher - Asian Cookery is one of several teaching positions including Cookery, Asian Cookery, Front of House, Leadership & Management and Patisserie, in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality unit of the Faculty of Business, IT & Applied Arts. The position reports to the Operations Manager Culinary Arts and Hospitality and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of BHI at all levels.

The Faculty of Business, IT and Applied Arts, as part of Educational Delivery provides a wide range of teaching and learning programs at local and international campuses. The Faculty delivers nationally recognised training to over 3,000 students in courses ranging from Certificates to Diplomas, Bachelor Degrees and post graduate programs.

**About You**:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (essential)
- Relevant industry qualifications in Asian Cookery
- Ability to design and deliver engaging and relevant course materials and lessons
- Demonstrated ability or the capacity to work and provide support and advice to students and BHI employees of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities, including effective communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills relevant to a learning environment
- Passionate about knowledge sharing and ability to work within a team, contributing to the positive work environment and culture
- Proven ability to be readily adaptable to changing circumstances within the classroom
- Highly supportive and compassionate with a commitment to continuous improvement and high level communication
