**About the Opportunity**

As our software licensing analyst, you will establish processes for enhancing software licensing, verify usage and provide advice on purchases based on business requirements. Your responsibilities include analysing purchased licenses, reviewing discovery data, processing and maintaining software compliance and conducting research to assist with purchases and contract requirements.

This new role will be supporting a range of IT Asset management activities in line with building a capability as well as a range of BAU IT software management activities in the IT Infrastructure & Support Function. In practical terms this role will focus on IT software license Inventory and management for the organisation\

**A day in the life of a Software License Analyst**
- In collaboration with other SMEs, manage and maintain the life cycle of IT software licensing including the maintenance of records (CMDB) in relation to IT software license creation, renewals, provisioning/issuing and reclaiming.
- Support the establishment of effective standards and controls over IT Software licenses within the IT commercial function.
- Work effectively with IT Software Owners, Change Management, Procurement/Commercial Management, IT Infrastructure Management and IT Security & Risk functions to ensure critical information in relation to IT software licenses is always accurate, up-to-date and reliable
- Manager Software licenses and be the first point of contact for software renewal and related activities.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation of the Software Asset Management approach.
- Provide support to senior team members for projects and audits
- Proactively identify cost saving opportunities.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrates a logical approach to problem solving
- Can demonstrate use of initiative, flexibility and innovative thinking
- Ability to work as an effective team member within a complex and fast paced environment
- Solid understanding of software asset management tools including snow, ServiceNow etc.
- Previous experience working with service partners, suppliers, system integrators etc.
- Eye for detail, and ability to quickly understand requirements
- Experience working and using discovery tools.
- Experience working in a Digital environment
- Ability to think customer first and relate solutions back to the customer problem and outcomes
- Facilitation skills
