About the role

Eastern Health is looking for a suitable experienced and qualified individual to join our small but dynamic PACS/RIS support team.

The Data Manager primarily is responsible to ensure the day to day management and integrity of the Radiology Information System (RIS) for all Eastern Health Medical Imaging (EH MI) departments across Eastern Health (EH). Assisted by the Data Officer, they will also be maintaining the EH MI HL7 interfaces, as well as assist the EH Picture Archive and Communications System (PACS) Administrator with PACS data management and maintenance across all sites.

Travel between sites will be required. On rotation with the PACS Administrator, Data Officer and other PACS support personnel, provide on-call support for PACS/RIS out of hours’ issues.

About you

**To be successful in this role you should possess**:
Previous experience in the management and maintenance of data in a radiology information system (RIS).

Understanding of the function and maintenance of a PACS system.

Experience in the maintenance of the integration of the RIS with other systems such as a Hospital Information System, Digital Dictation System or PACS

Understanding of the reception and booking functions and workflows of a large radiology practice

Ability to work independently and proactively in the correction of breakdowns and errors

The ability to design and/or customise report extractions as required by medical imaging management

Current drivers licence

The following will also be well regarded

Experience in the Kestral Radiology Information System (Karisma)

Experience in a large multi campus radiology department

Experience in a PACS environment

Qualification/experience in a health related field or IT/programming
